Transport in detail

This trip includes three domestic flights (from Siem Reap to Luang Prabang, from Luang Prabang to Hanoi, and from Hanoi to Hoi An). Airport transfers will be by private car with an English-speaking guide, and you’ll have two longer car journeys (2.5 hours) from Hanoi to Lan Ha Bay and back.

What's great

Though it covers a wide variety of destinations and experiences, the pace feels fairly leisurely, giving you plenty of time to explore beyond the usual tourist sites

This itinerary is packed with diverse activities, so you're guaranteed to return home with plenty of memories

We’ve woven in some of our favorite romantic experiences, including several cruises, some beach relaxation, and a traditional baci ceremony to bless your marriage

Each destination has been chosen to show a different side of Indochina, including big cities, beaches, World Heritage towns and stunning natural grandeur

Instead of busy Halong Bay, we’ve included its quieter (but no less scenic) neighbor, Lan Ha Bay

Things to consider

Though your included experiences are diverse and unusual, the destinations on this itinerary are classics, and very much “on the beaten path”

This trip is best taken from March to August, during Hoi An’s beach season. If you’d like to travel at another time of year, just let us know and we’ll recommend an alternative destination

The direct flight from Siem Reap to Luang Prabang doesn’t run every day, so you might have to fly indirect if your travel dates are inflexible

The experience

Planning your honeymoon should be fun, not fraught. We know how important it is to get it right — so bring your ideas, let us do the worrying, and together we’ll build your perfect trip.

Day 1-3

Siem Reap

Three days aren’t enough to take in Angkor’s 1,000+ temples, but you can make a start! With a local guide, you’ll cover the most famous sites: the giant faces of Bayon, the root-strangled ruins of Ta Prohm, and the piéce de resistance: Angkor Wat. The temples are the main event, but Siem Reap has so much more to offer. We’ve balanced your historical explorations with a champagne cruise, a show at the incredible Phare Circus, and time to yourselves to relax at your hotel.

Day 4-6

Luang Prabang

Welcome to one of the most picture-perfect towns in all of Asia: Luang Prabang. Against a backdrop of golden-roofed wats, elegant French-colonial cafés, and the jungle-fringed Mekong, you’ll spend the next couple of days exploring by bike, boat and on foot. Stop in at museums and temples, visit elephant and bear sanctuaries, climb Mount Phousi for stunning views, and pedal through quiet neighborhoods lined with wooden houses and tropical gardens. Breakfasting in solitude at beautiful Kuang Si Falls is particularly magical, and your traditional baci ceremony at That Luang Temple will guarantee an auspicious start to married life.
