Customer reviews and what they say

The most important thing we can do to improve our service is listen to what our customers have to say, which is why you can now read their comments unedited on our website.

Upon returning from Southeast Asia all our clients are sent a review form and here you can see what they are saying about their experience of travel to the region and of the service we offered both during the trip planning process and in the build-up to the trip.

Search the reviews, check the image gallery and see for yourself how our clients rate the InsideAsia experience.

We had a wonderful trip to Malaysia taking in Peninsula and Borneo. Inside Asia walked me through the key decisions, based on our previous travel experience, budget and time. They gave me a lot of pre-travel info and managed changes in itinerary during our trip (hotel not being opened in time post-covid) seamlessly

Liam was very supportive from our initial contact (relatively close to the departure date), through-out pre-travel and on the trip itself. He always chased down answers to our tricky questions and responded quickly and clearly

We had a good mix of 3* city hotels, 'jungle camps' and 4-5* beach hotels. The 3* city hotels were all clean and well presented. The hotel in Ipoh (M boutique) was not central to the restaurant district which was a mistake as we didn't realise it was there. Grab took a long time to load (>5 days to work) so we were stuck in the hotel and the food was average. The other city hotels (KL, Penang and Kuching) were very central and we could walk into the main restaurant/ night-life areas. The jungle camps and wildlife resorts were fabulous and the general trend of higher star hotels towards the end of the holiday was great. The switch of hotel from Gaya Island to Shangri-La Rasa Ria (SLRR) was a real shame, nut unavoidable. SLRR was a 5* hotel about an hour from KK. It was very isolated and we felt trapped in the resort, which was very expensive food-wise compared to everywhere else on the trip. We spent a third of our total budget in these last 4 days. The hotel was lovely, but I would have preferred to have gone back to the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru, where we could have accessed the restaurants in KK and arranged another boat trip

Michael was fantastic, thorough and thoughtful. We could not have been happier. The trip was logistically challenging (Korea visas and three covid tests x 4 people) and Michael was completely on top of it. The Seoul local agents we helpful too.

This is my second time booking with InsideAsia tours and for the second time, I am extremely happy with the service I received. Our trip was pushed back multiple times due to covid, and when we decided last-minute to change our destination as a result of travel restrictions, the company happily accommodated this. Everyone was so helpful and Liam pulled together an excellent itinerary around Vietnam for us in no time at all. Our trip was phenomenal from start to finish, and my mother describes it as "the holiday of a lifetime". Liam included lots of rural trips and lesser-known spots to avoid the crowds, which suited us down to the ground. I'm honestly already looking at the new South Korea brochure and daydreaming about another trip!

Liam was excellent, and his recommendations suited us down to the ground. He really took our interests and wishes into account and planned a fantastic trip.

All of our accommodation was great, and for the most part exceeded expectations. The only exception was the Sofitel Saigon Plaza, the lobby, restaurant and staff were great but the rooms were quite tired and not what I would expect from a 5* hotel. However we didn't spend much time in the room so we weren't bothered, but someone spending more time in the city might be disappointed.

Started with Amy Niko Bowinski and ended with Grant Ekelund. Had to push Grant for details nearing the trip start and get him to improve his responsiveness (both in timeliness and thoroughness) which he did.

Accommodation
★★★★

Accomodations were generally very good. The location of the villa at the Fusion Resort in Phu Quoc was magnificent but the room itself had no doors on the bathroom, toilet room or shower. It also had a step down to the bed area which was hazardous as it wasn't easy to get used to. The room at the Hotel Royal Hoi An MGallery was the least desirable on our trip. The bathroom, toilet room and shower being right next to the bed separated by just a curtain was undesirable and unbecoming of a 4/5 star hotel.
