Both very good.
The Anantara at Hoi an has poor rooms. They have no aspect. The opposite end to entry is entirely taken up with the WC/bathroom therefore, there is no window (making the room dark) and no balcony. Also, too much noise transmits from the rooms above and to the side. The Chen Sea villa, Phu Quoc, was eclectic to say the least. The restaurant cuisine there was v unexciting and should have been far better. The Metropole, Hanoi was generally a far too cold hotel (the common parts et al) especially the room (the air conditioning thermostat was incorrect) and generally a fine hotel that has lost the ability to focus on the details 9something that is critical for hotels). The Caravlle in Saigon was by far the best hotel and one of the best we have ever stayed at (and we say that as extensive travellers + hotel stayers).
