Transport in detail

This tour makes the most of Korea’s fantastic public transport system with most journeys via high speed KTX train. Just one connection is by private car with a stop-off along the way

What's great

Explore K-pop and K-drama hotspots throughout the country.

Enjoy a mix of modern city, traditional village, quiet forest, and picturesque beaches.

Hanok stay – take a step back in time any stay in a traditional Korean Hanok village in Jeonju in a filming location for the drama “Mister Sunshine”.

Although there are 4 destinations, you have ample time in each to both explore the sights and get an in-depth look at each location but also have some down time to relax without rushing.

Things to consider

Hanok stays only have futons available instead of western style beds. Hotels are available as an alternative but if you would like a Hanok experience you may need to switch destinations or have it in Seoul.

As mostly public transport will be used during the trip, you’ll need to be light with luggage.

Certain times of the year can make beachside destinations more expensive and crowded, so make sure to factor this into your plans.

The experience

Day 1-4

Seoul

This sprawling metropolis is like an organism unto itself, the very definition of a 21st century city. Yet its ultra-modern, kinetic streets coexist with deep tradition and history dating back thousands of years, making it one of our favorite places. On your first day you’ll experience the city’s verve by hitting some of the most legendary spots on the K-wave map, followed by a chance to strut your stuff at a K-pop dance class on day two.  Between it all, you’ll graze on the street food that has helped make Seoul one of the most delicious cities on the planet.

Day 5

Jeonju

Situated in the country’s pastoral southwest, the tranquil burg of Jeonju has blossomed into a must-see destination, largely due to its Hanok Village. This district of historic homes is often used as a backdrop for K-dramas, and during your visit, you’ll stay overnight in one. You can also rent a hanbok----a colorful, traditional Korean outfit---and soak up the serenity along the cobblestone side streets. Despite its beautiful architecture, Jeonju is perhaps even more well-known for its cuisine. It’s been labeled Korea’s “City of Gastronomy,” and the region widely considered to have the best food in the country, especially Korea’s signature dish of bibimbap, which is a Jeonju specialty.
